Advantages: Easy to use, good price, practical for having around in those times of rush or small spills
Disadvantages: Not so good at coping with larger areas of spills
We have been thinking about getting a small hand held hoover for some time now. It is one of those things that I sort of resented paying the money out as we had a perfectly good upright hoover that was great but for the act of convenience was starting to become a bug bare when cleaning the cars or for those small spills that we all make. I did not have a budget in mind really but knew I didn't want to pay big amounts and so had a look in the Argos catalogue and found the Hoover was in fact slightly cheaper on the Amazon website so I was soon pressing send and waiting for my order to arrive.
As I mentioned, I got my S2102 Hoover from Amazon and it cost me £21.99, on the Argos website it was £24.99 so at least I had made a small saving. I have heard but not used the Hoover brand before and so was a little hesitant of this but for the price I dare not complain.
The Hoover came packaged in a cardboard box and I was eager to take it apart and see how it worked and performed. You really cannot miss the small hand held hoover as it is bright yellow in colour. The hoover looked exactly as I expected it to and it was not too difficult to understand how to operate it. There was an instruction booklet that came with it and I did have a quick read. There is also a one year manufacturer's guarantee that comes with the hoover. There is a handle that is easy to grip onto so it makes the hovering quite simple and most importantly lightweight. I did not want a device that was going to be hard work but rather practical and simple.
There is a good capacity on this hoover, it takes up to 7.5 litres of dust and what I like is that this is a battery operated device so there are no cables lying around or getting in the way, not having to plug this in makes it even quicker to use and start using. There is a re-chargeable device that plugs into your mains and allows you to get the hoover charged and ready for use. I leave the hoover to run out of battery and then leave it on charge, to get back to full speed this usually takes just over 2 hours and you are ready to go again.
The hoover doesn't have any attachments with it but the nozzle that you use to suck up the dirt is really effective and I have found that it can get into all sorts of corners and tight areas. The hoover is not to noisy when it is in use but it is very powerful when it comes to the suction, I have found that on areas where there is quite a bit of dust you need to go over the area a little more, this tends to be a little more time consuming and you need to move the hoover over the area a few times but this is not really a criticism but just something to be aware of.
In summary, I am more than happy with this product; it is of good quality and was a good price. The hoover has served us well; we get it out for all those small spills and when I am in a rush, it is also great for the car!
