Once you have changed the dial to the tool setting and connected the pet hair attachement, it sounds like an plane is taking off. however once you start to brush it over chairs etc to collect the pet hair, it tends to stop working, it has a whirling wheel that collects hair, but any connection to fabric or chairs etc, it gives up, no matter how gently you use it.

I have had this cleaner for around 6 months and can not rave about it enough. Firstly it is fairly light weight, it glides effortlessly and basically does what it is meant to do. I purchased this vacuum cleaner for the simple reason, I have two cats and a daughter with long hair, the collection of hair that accumulates in my house is astounding. The last vacuum I had didnt suck up dirt let alone hair, human or otherwise. I was looking for a vacuum that didnt break the bank but actually worked as well.
