Ideal for both the house and car

I bought my husband this little hand held Hoover as one of his Christmas presents but to be honest I've used it more than he has. I bought it originally as a little car Hoover for him but I use it nearly every day in the house. I bought it from Tesco Direct for the sum of £19.97.

The Hoover Handy Plus is sold in a red and black cardboard box, it displays the Hoover logo on all sides and informs the customer that this is the Hoover Handy Plus cleaning elegance in one hand. The box shows all the colours the Hoover is available in, white, green, yellow, black and red so several to choose from, I personally chose the red one.

The box states that the Hoover, once charged, will give you 15 minuets running times, has a flip out crevice tool and has 6V of power. The Hoover is re-chargeable so comes with a charger unit.

The actual Hoover is a sleek curved shape measuring approximately 40cm's long, its not overly heavy although people who have weak hands may struggle a bit. The handle has the on/off button on the front of it and just below there is another button which needs to be pressed when you want to empty the little dust bag, its recommended that you do this after every use, the little dust sack just pulls out and pushes back in, this is easy to do. Once cleaned you simply push the Hoover back together and it clicks into place.

The crevice nozzle is made from clear plastic and is 7.5cm's long, to use it you simply flip it out and you are ready to go.

The Hoover needs to be fully charged before use and this takes approximately 24hours. To do this you simply plug the charger into the little socket on the end of the Hoover handle and connect it to the mains. There is a little red light on the Hoover that indicates the Hoover is charging.

As I mentioned I have used this little hand held Hoover virtually every day since Christmas, its so handy for hoovering little spills such as crumbs as they happen, it stops them from getting trampled into the carpet. I use it a lot in the bathroom too, we have varnished floor boards on the floor in there and they always seem to be permanently fluffy from the towels. Instead of dragging the main vacuum up every day I can just go over it quickly every morning with the Handy Plus.

Both Mark and myself have been really pleased with the Hoover Handy Plus Hand Held Vac, I paid a good price for it and in my opinion it was well worth every penny. It makes quick work of small areas and saves me the hassle of getting our main Hoover out. Its so quick to just whip around with this after Jayden has had his dinner or had a Rusk, they seem to spread a long way.

As suggested in the instruction leaflet I empty the little dust sack after every use, I just empty the bits out and then use a small brush to just remove any fluff that's still attached to it. The dust sack is quite small so emptying after every use is the best way to go but if you don't do this it would probably go a few days, of course this depend on how much you Hoover up.

As a car Hoover it does a good job getting in all the little nooks and crannies. I particularly like the little nozzle that pulls out and I like the fact that it is attached to the Hoover rather than a separate attachment, no chance of loosing it this way. The only fault I have is in my opinion the crevice nozzle could do with being longer.

We found that our Hoover lasted about 4 weeks before it needed recharging, of course this depends on how often you use it and for how long.

All in all I would definitely recommend the Hoover Handy Plus, its no substitute for a proper vacuum but for a little re-chargeable it has a pretty good suction. it does make a good car vac but I find it so much more useful around the house. I bought the Hoover from Tesco Direct and paid £19.97 just before Christmas however on checking the price today I see it has now gone up to £29.97 but I would still be happy to pay this price.
