... made out of too hard a plastic. I know this due to taking it for repair when the first one snapped! On the front is a slider to select which floor type it is needed for. All in all I was very disappointed that I bought what was supposed to be a market leader made machine and found it cheap quality and poorly made. I would not buy another Hoover vacuum after this one and now have a Vax machine that is everything this one was not!...more

Hoover Purepower vacuum cleaner I bought one of these vacuums thinking that I had got a bargain.....I was very wrong. After the first couple of uses the suction was not half as good. The black bumper that goes around the bottom of the machine marked the skirting boards easily giving me another job of having to get rid of the marks which was easier said than done. The size of the machine made is easy to use as it is lightweight for carrying up the stairs and the front is not too wide for getting down the side of furniture.
