Hoover Purepower vacuum cleaner

I bought one of these vacuums thinking that I had got a bargain.....I was very wrong. After the first couple of uses the suction was not half as good.

The black bumper that goes around the bottom of the machine marked the skirting boards easily giving me another job of having to get rid of the marks which was easier said than done.

The size of the machine made is easy to use as it is lightweight for carrying up the stairs and the front is not too wide for getting down the side of furniture.

The front comes off for to emptying the machine. The bags are not reusable so can be expensive. There is a small filter in the bottom of where the bag goes which can clog easy so make sure this is kept clean and clear. The front can be difficult to get back on properly as it is not well designed.

On the back of the machine there are the on board tools. You get an upholstery brush and a long crevice tool and an extension tube. If you get the pets model you get a turbo tool too. The turbo tool was a waste of money as the plastics were poor that it was made of and ended up with tape around it to keep it useable. When using the hose make sure the vac is against something as it tends to fall over very easily.

Where the turbo tool fits is stupid as it sticks out wider than the machine meaning it catches the walls etc.

The pedal was next to useless as it did not press as it was made out of too hard a plastic. I know this due to taking it for repair when the first one snapped!

On the front is a slider to select which floor type it is needed for.

All in all I was very disappointed that I bought what was supposed to be a market leader made machine and found it cheap quality and poorly made. I would not buy another Hoover vacuum after this one and now have a Vax machine that is everything this one was not!
