Hoover DM4494:
... am extremely glad that I have bought this appliance, it does everything I need it to, and is quick and easy to move around for me this is particulary useful as my health is not great and to lug around a heavier one would tire me out to quickly. It is very easy to keep maintained as well, with no dirt bag to keep replacing, the filters have to be cleaned every so often but there are very good instructions on how to ... Hoover Hurricane HU4177T ... old world these days where household appliances are concerned. You flick through a catalogue and you see a brand you once trusted or knew of which once had a great reputation and recognise a colour or a theme which once graced its trademark range. Then you are taken to another appliance bearing another name, another price, perhaps different, blink twice and then you realise that brands like Hoover and Vax are selling the same model but in different colours and there a difference in price to match too! When Hoover in the U.S market was dumped by Whirlpool recently they were taken over by an Asian company who also happen to own Dirt Devil of America and also Vax; for... Hoover The One ... got one to replace my Pure Power and what a mistake. The power was good, the functions were excellent but the reliability was very very poor. Cutting out, over heating, bits falling off. This wasnt what i expeced of hoover. Anyone who knows Hoover s may say blockage or filters were causing the problems but as an ex Hoover employee i stripped the entire thing down trying to find the fault and couldnt see anything! The bin is also a bit messy to empty compared to the Pure Power but the one board tool are really good, the flex hose is very impressive. I have decided to steer well clear of cyclonic cleaners in the future as i have heard of Dyson s bieng just as bad. ... Read the full review: Buy a bagged cleaner instead!! by Lancar |

Hoover Turbopower 2 ... is quite an old machine now but i expect you can still get hold of them on ebay. I bought mine many years ago and its still going strong. The purchase price was £99 reduced from £199. It is an upright cleaner with a replaceable bag but a permabag is available. Spares are still readily available as both the bags and drive belts require replacement due to wear and tear. The bag is very easy to change, just open the front door by means of a button, unclip the bag, clip a new bag in and then close again and your ready to roll again. The drive belt does snap occasionally mainly due to bloackages. Its fairly easy to replace, turn the machine off and unplug. Turn the machi...
