Advantages: Easy to store, bagless, cheap

Disadvantages: short hose, topples over easy

In my review on my JMB U3006 upright bagless vacuum cleaner you will find me making a few comparisons to the Dyson as this is the only other bagless vacuum cleaner I've ever owned.

Well I have owned a Dco1, an upright bagless Dyson and a DC05, a cylinder bagless vacuum which I still own. The reason I had two was that my husband used to work for a company that supplied Dyson with parts, so I got mine cheap :o)

After my first Dyson died on me my husband brought home a DC05 for me to try out. I do hate the DC05 as it is more bulky to store, plus the vacuum didn't have brushes on the tool attachments which I need as we are pet owners.

Anyway after a couple of years of suffering the DC05 I decided I had had enough and decided to purchase a new cleaner, and as my husband had left his previous job I could no longer get one on the cheap.

PURCHASING MY VACUUM
**************************
So I looked through the Argos and decided on a Vacuum that I thought would be okay but wasn't too happy about as my Nan had owned a Dirt devil before and wasn't happy with it. So on my way to Argos I popped in Index and picked up their new catalogue and found a cleaner that was in my price range and seemed to be just the ticket.

It was in the JMB range which seems to be a range of budget electrical goods Index has took hold of, it was an upright, bagless and a very snazzy coloured one, and it was priced up at £69.95, previously £79.99.

DESCRIPTION
*************
I had a read of the list and it had a 1400 watt motor, 6-stage filtration system, long wire and hose for easy cleaning, on-board tools, a light to indicate when it is full or blocked and a clear bin.

So with all these additions I thought it was well worth a try.

I got it home and it required a little self assembly such as the filter, hose clips etc all of which are clearly detailed in the book which comes with it, it took about 10 m
inutes all together to assemble and then it was ready to use.

My carpet looked brand new again when it was up and running,AND NO MORE DOG HAIRS!!!!!YEAH.

GOOD AND BAD POINTS
**********************
My reasons for choosing this cleaner are the fact that I wanted another upright as it is easy to store, it was bagless, so no more worrying about buying bag’s, which is an extra expense, plus it was really cheap.

But with all good things there are the bad, but you cant really call them bad. If you decide to buy a bagless vacuum cleaner you will notice that there are lots of filters, usually cloth or paper ones, so they will need changing and cleaning. I usually check and clean mine every other time I empty the bucket. With this vacuum the filters are reusable ones so you need to check on it to make sure that the dust hasn’t built up in it. Also as it is a cheaper model the tool’s haven’t got the quality that the dyson had, but they still do the trick and my carpets haven’t looked this good in years.

CONCLUSION
*************
I have had my vacuum cleaner now for a few months with no problems up to now, except for a few bruises due to the hose not being very long. Each time I try and do the stairs the vacuum topples over banging my on the back of the legs, but I’ve sorted that problem out now by leaning it against the wall. But my floors are clean, it stores away easily, it was a great bargain and even if lasts me only a year or two I’ll have had my moneys worth out of it as my Dyson didn’t have a long life anyway.

JMB seem to be quite good value for the budget range of electronics. Good op!
