Kirby GSix Vacuum

I have had a kirby for 5 months and they seem great on the outset. One day my kirby decides to have asurge in power and pulls up an eighteen inch thread from a flat carpet and threadbares my carpet completly. Being a large company you think I would have been treated fairly but no. I have never heard anything good about Kirby's sales approach, I'm sure it works OK for the american market, but the british who tend to work on a more suspicous level when it comes to high pressure commision driven sales people is never going to work, we don't like all this good morning sir are you having a nice day by the way that's $300. the kirby hoover is as stated "the best on the market". These little monsters have been around since 1914 and and were invented by an english man named james kirby. They are now produced by the scottsfetzer company in ohio america where they have been since day one of production. The company is now owned by warren buffet one of the richest men in the world . If you see the Kirby and you don't buy it you are a filthy pig !! The salesman proved to me in 10 minutes it would get ALL the dirt out of my carpets, that I paid $6000 for. I for one don't want to buy new carpets ever 7-12 years when my kirby will keep them clean and stop them from wearing out. The machine cleans my kids mattresses of dust mites and also shampoos the carpet better than a so called "con man" professional carpet cleaner !! Get real ! Who can get dirt out of carpet by shooting it with hot water ?? That makes mud, mud doesn't float, it stays deep in the carpet to dry, turn back into dust and start wearing my carpet out.... Kirby offer a yearly maintenance contract, this year the mechanic brought along a sales rep who pushed my parents into buying a new Kirby hoover. My parents initially told him they did not want a new hoover, but eventually gave in to the salesman who refused to take no for an answer and eventually they yielded 'just to get him out of the house'! The new hoover cost over £1200 and my parents were so embarrassed that they had fallen for the salesman's aggressive selling tactics that they did not inform their children until very recently when we were told that the home help had fallen down the stairs trying to use the new hoover.
