What an ordeal! (Kirby GSix Vacuum)
Member Name: jenaraba2
Advantages: lots of uses Disadvantages: they (the salesman instead of the vacuum) suck you clean (of money)
I had the most dreadful experience trying to be "suckered" into buying a Kirby G6. Now, I'll be the first to say that it looks like a wonderful product. And had the salesman treated me with respect, I may have bought one. I was approached and offered a demonstration at my home. "It won't take more than an hour", they said. They arrived at 7:00 pm (after I had just got home from a long day at work. But I thought, what the heck, I'll take a look at it. After the demonstration was over, it was almost 10:30 pm! Then came the really good part. The G6 was offered to me at the wonderful price of $2,200! I told them that was the craziest thing I'd ever heard so the price went down immediately to $1,500. Well, I thought I was getting a good deal until I did some research on the internet and realized that some people had paid on $900 for the same exact product (new - not rebuild). I called my salesman and he immediately offered to sell me the G6 for $900. How kind :) At this point, i felt that my intelligence had been insulted and told the to come and pick it up. Well, low and behold, when they came to pick it up, the price offered then was $595 - add insult to injury!! What an amazing deal, huh? At that point, I had no idea what the G6 was worth and asked them to take it away. You can't try to steal money from people (although legally, it was not ethical) and expect them to do business with you. Summary: |
