Advantages: Powerful and well made.

Disadvantages: How much!

Yes I said £1200 and you can pay more if you want to buy all the extras.

This is a warning to anyone out there who is given a scratchcard and finds they have won a free carpet shampoo. Sorry to disappoint you but in fact you have won a demonstration of this vastly overpriced hoover.

The demonstration is more like an interrogation as the gang of salespeople take over you house for several hours in an attempt to extricate your money or at least your signature on the finance form.

They will try to make you feel dirty by taking samples of dirt from your carpet, settee, mattress etc and then thye will shampoo a tiny area of your carpet as your prize.

I used to be one of these salesmen, but left the job as I am too soft to pressurise people into parting with their money for such an overpriced item. The reason it costs so much money is the way it is marketed (demonstrations are expensive to set up and time consuming) and also the salesman gets around £300 commission.

The cleaner itself is a good vacuum, but only worth around £300 or so. It is very robust and has plenty of power, but it is no more efficient that most other cleaners out there.

Funny how you don't even own the vacuum yet feel qualified to review it. Would you do the same if you test drove a car? Hardly.

Now I know you were a direct salesman I am not sure I really can trust you :). Only joking - I've been one too in the deep and distant past.

I agree, it's worth remembering anyone who is conned into making such a purchase that you have a cooling down period in which you can change your mind - I think it's two weeks, not sure.
