Advantages: Extra long cord makes moving from room to room easy.

Disadvantages: It doesn't pick up human hair very well but it's not a great problem.

I bought my Miele Vacuum Cat & Dog 700 about 2 years ago. It is the best vacuum I have ever had and worth every penny with never a moments trouble. It is so powerful I have never used it on its highest setting.

I agree that human hair can cause a problem, especially if its long, but it can be easily seen as it collects it all together in the first couple of passes and I just bend down and pick it up before the it gets wound around the rotating brush. It does such a good job there is no build up of dust and grime and carpets come up good as new every time. Another good thing is the extra long cable which enables me to clean the stairs from top to bottom in one go without having to unplug halfway and struggle down the stairs carrying vacuum, cable and fitments, to do the rest. It's great.

Summary: I don't know how I would manage without it now.
