Advantages: Excellent suction, looks great, easy to use and store.

The Miele Cat & Dog 5000 is the best hoover that I have come across. I have a cocker spaniel and have found that the suction on the hoover is absolutely brilliant at removing all hairs on my carpet. It is really neat and compact, and all of the extra brushes come in really handy. It can all be stored within the hoover, which makes it really easy to pack it all away to carry it up the stairs.

I love the look of this hoover as well, as it comes in a really stylish dark red and black. It is really easy to use, and is really light and travels well around the house.

I have found that it is even brilliant on all types of different surfaces, as we have wooden floors, carpets and tiling in our house and it works brilliantly on all three. The bags are really easy to change, although a little costly at £19.99 for four (but I don't have to change mine that often and have a two bedroom house using it a couple of times a week).

The price is a little high at around the £200, but well worth it for this model, particularly if you have pets or allergies. My mother has had this model for a couple of years now and has never had any problems with it, where other upright models have broken down quicker or had suction problems after six months.
