For some strange reason we have 2 vacuum's in our household. There is my lovely reliable Dyson which I have reviewed on here before, this lives in the cupboard under the stairs and is used for keeping the floor surfaces clean in the house. Then there is our other vacuum cleaner, this lives in the garage and we use it for cleaning our cars as well as the garage itself! It is this vacuum that I am going to be reviewing today; it is a Miele S251 model and we brought it about a year ago now and here are my thoughts on the model.


The model as I mentioned is the Milie model and me and my other half got it from the Amazon website. We had looked around for a fairly cheap lightweight cylinder cleaner and this is what we came up with. Amazon was the cheapest place to get the product from as well as being the most convenient as it could be delivered to our house as opposed to us having to go and pick it up. The product was not too expensive, this model cost us around the £50.00 mark. It was cheap compared to others on the market and as it was a second model, it suited our needs as it was only for the cars! I have not since spotted this in any other places other than on amazon so I think availability is quite limited.


The hoover came well packaged and upon opening it looked really easy to use. There is a two year manufacturer's guarantee that came with it as well as a detailed instruction booklet. It is a blue colour with a grey pipe and head attached to it. It is lightweight and compact, just ideal for the purpose we had it in mind for. The hoover sits upon some small castor wheels which make it great for pulling onto the drive and for using on the cars as opposed to having to carry it, there is a handle but as it is so lightweight to move around, the wheels and mobility are great.


To get the hoover going you need to press the on and off button which is large and located on the main body of the hoover. One on, the hoover is not that noisy at all just a gentle buzz as opposed to being too loud. There is a pipe that runs from the hoover to the main floor head, this is what we use in the foot wells of the car, then there are three different attachments that come with the hoover, a smaller flat head, a small bristle brush and then a long thin tube, great for getting in and out of all the corners of the car with so it is an impressive selection of cleaning tools.


I have been really pleased with how well the hoover works, the look and design of the hoover is great but when it comes down to it the suction on the hoover is also great. We don't allow our cars to get that messy so there is never a massive build up of dirt but what there is this hoover copes really well. When we have used the various attachments that have come with the hoover, they just aid the cleaning process even more. I use the bristle brush when cleaning the seats on my car and it makes the upholstery look really good. The smaller flat head works really well in the boot of the cars so it just means the purpose that we brought it for is being met well I guess.


The hoover has a good amount of electrical lead on it and to wrap it back up once you are done, all you need to do is press a button on the base of the hoover and it will retract all the cord back in.


In summary, I am happy to recommend the hoover, a great model and certain efficient and effective for us.
