I bought a miele s2110 a few months ago after owning another miele which was called a cat and dog vacuum which was excellent. Out of all the vacuum cleaners I've ever bought id recommend the miele s211o. It's very powerful and the suction is great. It picks up cat and dog hairs out of my carpets and gets into all the corners. It's very useful on the stairs as I've never got on with upright vacuums for hoovering the stairs. The real miele brand bags are quite expensive but I think they are worth buying as I bought some other cheaper versions and the ones that I bought nearly all seem to burst once nearly full. I was given this vacuum cleaner by my mum, who got it free from the developers when she moved in to a brand new apartment. Since then I've used it upstairs in our house as I have a Dyson upright downstairs. The cylinder style of this vacuum is much preferable for the upstairs as it's so manoeverable, in particular when vacuuming the stair carpet. It's very much a no-nonsense cleaner because the operation of it is so simple and easy - it does exactly what it says on the tin! Out of the many vacuums I own not to mention the classic ones that have been restored and never see the light of day, I'm often asked what my "daily driver," is and in terms of living at my home which is a big house, there are two models in question which I use all the time.
