Advantages: small, powerful and reliable
Disadvantages: wont sit on stairs
I did a lot of research before buying this vacuum cleaner. Like many I read the Which guide which rated this make and model very highly and found the only draw back was the length of the power cable being not quite as long as others (I've never found this to be a problem). I also searched around a lot on the internet and the best price I could get was £119.
I'm really pleased I put the time in as its a great vacuum cleaner, it fits in a small cupboard and is ingeniously designed to break down into smaller parts with the long tubes and attachments all reducing in size and clipping into each other for storage. The suction is great and I've yet to need to change the bag and it's been months. It also doesn't get hot even when you do the whole house and there's no dust coming out even at this point after many rounds of vacuuming (and I'm sensitive to this so it was a problem with my old vacuum).
It's got adjustable suction which is brilliant for moving from carpets to rugs and even curtains. It's quite light (much lighter than my old up right) and not a chore to carry up the stairs. One down point is it doesn't sit well on stairs so you have to reach as far as you can up then carry it to the top and reach down but this is possible in my (relatively normal sized) terraced house.
I was also worried about pulling it around on our new wood floor as it scratches really easily but its light and pivots in all directions. The attachments work just as well on the wood floor.
I'd really recommend this vacuum. I was an upright person until now but I've totally changed my mind now I've seen how easy it is to use and what great cleaning power it has.
Summary: A brilliant purchase, miele takes dysons crown

- 17/05/09 Welcome to Dooyoo!
A good start here. If I was to buy this I'd like some more info such as:
How much are the actual bags?
Good quality and durability?
Any small attachments? Do they store on the machine?
Filtration
Adding info could inform buyers better although it is optional. If you update your review or need help please msg me.

PS As A Miele owner, I can tell you that ALL of their vacuums have soft rubber coated wheels built in so not to mark any flooring. Maybe you could consider buying an extra hose extension for the stairs - I've just bought one and its terrific. |
