... have had my Miele Cat and Dog Vacuum cleaner for approx 1 year and six months. My previous Cylinder Bagless Vacuum Cleaners needed emptying all the time and made a mess everywhere when I did so, thus I really needed a new one. Miele S5210 ... and never had a problem with it. The suction is excellent, although I find it picks up cat hair better on carpet with the brush down which means using it gives a great workout as it is quite hard to push around! You can always reduce the suction with a handy dial on the top if you find it too hard to move around, or for more delicate jobs, such as upholstery (it even has handy little pictures of what suction level is suitable for what). It comes with a variety of tools easily accessible via a flip up lid in the top. The bag is easy to change, however bags and filters prove expensive if you use genuine miele ones. I needed a vacuum cleaner which was easy to manoeuvre, and most importantly would remove the dog and cat hairs from our carpets.
