... did a lot of research before buying this vacuum cleaner. Like many I read the Which guide which rated this make and model very highly and found the only draw back was the length of the power cable being not quite as long as others (I ve never found this to be a problem). Miele S5281 ... love this vacuum. It is sturdy, easy to move about the house and light enough to carry up stairs. This is the first vacuum that we have purchased and we have found it an excellent investment. It is very powerful and the attachments are easily stored and simple to use. Replacement bags can be a bit pricy however they do last for quite some time. Although it is more expensive than most of the other other machines it is dependable and has shown no signs of wear. Three years later and is still preforming the same as the first day that we bought it. It is also compact and easily stored in small areas. It is also powerful and efficient. Miele S4210 Carina ... is the first vaccum cleaner I have bought on my own (although following my mother s recommendation) and after having used it for just over two years I must admit that I am more than happy with it. Since I live on my own, I didn t need something huge or heavy duty but a vacuum cleaner that was more compact, reliable and cute (well, this only optional really). Miele S4210 Carina ticks all those boxes mentioned above. I find the capacity really great for one thing; I vacuum regularly (around once a week at least) and I haven t had to change the bag very often at all. Miele Cat and Dog ... great vacuum cleaner! After years of enduring cheap machines, with two kids and a dog I finally invested in this one after borrowing my neighbours in an emergency! Its got a great range of attachments for different floor surfaces and furniture etc. The only downside to that being that they dont really store all that well on the machine and I ve lost bits. Its a great cleaner and the range of settings means it adapts. I find the quiet function brilliant for cleaning when the kids are asleep.
