Emmay99 Miele S5210: ... bought this vacuum cleaner in December 2007 and I am still very pleased with it ten months later. It is compact, light, easy to manoeuvre and has exceptional suction. The tools are stored neatly in its body and the hose is long and height adjustable. The straight part of the hose is telescopic so that it can be tidied away very neatly. It has a long flex enabling me to plug it in centrally and do the whole of the ...

... machine and it lasts for ever. Yes you have to replace parts but these are easily available over the net. Buy the bags from Jersey -lots of companies do them and you can get them online must cheaper. In conclusion I would say if you have an average amount of hair being dropped it should cope very well but it will struggle to cope with anything more than this if you use the recommended brush. Miele are a superb make, my mum buys their washing machines and they go for 20 years. The same is true for these cleaners it s just be careful about asking yourself how many animals/long haired family members have you really got? Also how many carpets as opposed to wooden or lamin...

... machine is incredible- we cannot use it on its full power as it pulls up our carpet! We got it to replace an old vacuum, and were assured by the staff in John Lewis that it is better than a Dyson. We have not been disappointed at all. The actual unit is fairly sturdily built, and a bit heavier than some other similar machines I have used, although the tubing is very securely fixed and looks like it will last. The only problem that I have noticed with it thus far is that the cleaning pole (not sure what they are called- the ridgid bit on the end) is quite short, and so I as a fairly tall man have to stoop when using it. I am sure that it can be picked up quite cheap...

... Miele Cat & Dog is is a highly recommended vacuum cleaner. I bought one approximately six months ago to replace an ageing upright and have been extremely impressed. I looked for a quite a while at the pros and cons of bagged/bagless and upright/cylinder and found that despite my expectations to the contrary the bagged cylinder really is the best option. The bagless needs frequently emptying into a bin, much more often than changing a bag, and despite the claims of no loss of suction, the bagless cleaners do lose suction when the filter needs changing. The cost of replacing the filter seems to pretty much equate to the cost of replacing bags. So having decided on...
