Advantages: plug retractor, easy to handle, hidden tool drawer, bagless
Disadvantages: having to clean out dirt or hair caught in bristles
I purchased the Morphy Richards 71060 bagless cylinder vacuum about 4 months ago. I bought the vacuum online from the Morphy Richard website for £50.
--Advantages:--
I really like the features that come with this model. There is an automatic plug re-tractor, which I absolutely love, I hate having to fiddle with the plug and wrap it around and around. There is also a little tool drawer hidden in the bottom of the vacuum which contains 3 separate attachments that are perfect for getting into those tight spaces like between couch cushions and under the fridge.
The vacuum comes with two separate hoses one that stretches for stairs and the other is for all other normal tasks. The vacuum also comes with two heads one for carpet and one especially for hardwood or laminate flooring. Both these heads is they both contain a little brush in the front for collecting any dirt left behind. This model also comes with two HEPA filters. If one needs to be cleaned you can just replace it with the extra one and clean the dirty one using soap and water.
Of course, one of the best features of this vacuum is the fact that it is bagless. The dirt accumulated in the canister can be emptied within a matter of seconds with no mess or hassle.
There is also a slide button located on the top of the vacuum to move the power higher or lower. I would suggest keeping the power on high to make sure you pick up all the dirt and debris off floors; I tend to use the less power mode on things like the couch. I like the ease of being able to hoover around the house and the vacuum rolls right behind me with no struggle.
The cylinder shape of the vacuum makes it easy to store in smaller spaces, which is always a bonus.
--Disadvantages:--
As I stated before both the heads for the vacuum contain a brush on the front. This brush seems to become embedded with dust and hair even if it is in its off position. You will need to pick out the bits of dust from time to time to keep the head clean. That is the only real complaint I have with this vacuum.
Summary: a good vaccum that is easy to use
