This is certainly an excellent vacuum cleaner as far as power is concerned. The hose is a good length (although I live in a flat, I'm sure you could vacuum an average flight of stairs with this hose), making it easy to use the good selection of tools that come with it. The telescopic pole means you can clean the skirtingboards without breaking your back and you can get up in to the corners of the ceiling to catch any cobwebs, without the need for a stool or a ladder. The dust compartment is easy to remove and empty and the filter is also easy to remove and clean.
Drawbacks - there is a switch on the front bottom of the vacuum that you use to switch to various brush heights (deep/medium/short pile carpet, vinyl flooring, wood flooring, tools). I think it would have been a better design to have this up near the handle so it was easier to switch from one to the other (without having to stand the vacuum, bend down and turn the switch then start cleaning again). Also, at around 9Kg this is a heavy vacuum and not very easy to maneouvre. Finally, the power cord is not a great length. Okay, it's average, but I would have preferred a more generous power cord so I can zip around my whole flat without having to keep unplugging and plugging back in.
