I went to out local hire shop a few weeks ago and hired George, I needed some help cleaning the carpet. We have a George at work so I knew I would get the cleaning I required.
George is the name of a Numatic Model No. GVC 370-2 it is a 3 in one cleaner, brother to Henry the vacuum cleaner.
George is usually Green, but is available in Yellow, red or blue.

This model has a green body, which has a face a cheerful face black on white eyes and a black cheerful smile, the hose is his nose. George is quite large 355x 355x 455,
He weighs 8.8 kg. Wet capacity 9 litres dry capacity 15 litres.

My Carpet was dirty someone had walked in with muddy boots. Adrian had spilled had spilt juice on the carpet It was generally dirty. I usually hire a different carpet cleaner machine from the shop but that was not available. Inside George is a reservoir resevoir canister that you fill with water and your carpet shampoo this the hose onto you spray onto the carpet through the hose and George sucks the dirty water up water up the hose again into another canister for the dirty water, Leaving your carpet clean. George can also be used, as a basic vacuum cleaner so no need to have two cleaners. This cleaner is good for light industrial use such as schools, offices or for home. George is a sturdy machine will not get knocked over easily. The only problem was when then canister was full of water it was too heavy to carry upstairs so I removed the water reservoir and carried the reservoir and machine upstairs separately. There is no recoil system for the electric lead it just wrappers around the body of the machine this can be a nuisence.The one at school is several years old and gets quite a lot of use it is reliable.I think one day I might invest in one of my own.
