Advantages: Very good no nonsense vacuum.

Disadvantages: Awkward on stairs.

This here review is all about the Henry Numatic model No HVR 200. You may recognise it as soon as you see it, because it has a smiley face, and it comes in four vivid colours, red, green blue & yellow, and now they have added another to the range - PINK!!! although this one is actually called HETTY, but is otherwise identical .

The shape is cylindrical, but not laid down, this one is upright, it like an oil drum, and has a buffer ring surrounding it, which does not mark walls. It is mounted on castors, and so is easy to move about.

As for the suction, I can only say it is brilliant, the cable is wound up neatly in it's own drum, all tools are there, the machine itself is light enough to be carried upstairs, what more could you want in a cleaner?

There is a down side, but not much of one, it isn't easy to vacuum the stairs because you will need to balance the machine on one tread, holding it there with your leg. You will find also that the bag (should you use one) is quickly filled, even though it holds an impressive nine litres of dust. The cleaner is also rather industrial looking, but it is not designed to be a design icon.

This weighs in at less than seven Kilogrammes, and the plastic machine has a massive 1200 watts of power. The length of the hose is an ample 2.4 metres, and the cable is a decent 10 metres. All the usual nozzles, brushes, and of course the obligatory crevice tool come included. The warranty on this machine lasts for two years, and the instruction manual tells you all you wish to know in plain English. These are built in Britain by the Numatic International company - in Somerset actually, and some very nice things come from that part of the world.

The cheapest I have seen these advertised, is just under £75 which I think us an absolute bargain, you must bear in mind that it will last you for many years to come. I have also seen it advertised for a massive £138! I trust nobody has paid even close to that figure.

I normally list the contact details, spare parts availibility, repair locations etc. but in this case, look below because the company has it's own website, this contains all the information you will need, go on :-

Welcome to Dooyoo! A nice technical slant on this cleaner here and well covered. However a bit more info on actual use would be good here. Is it easy to fit a bag for example? Are the bags expensive to buy? Are there any alternatives? What's the noise level like? Any small cleaning tools supplied and do they store on the machine?

A bit more info will certainly benefit future consumers. If you update your review please message to let me know.
