Advantages: Reliability. He'll work hard for you for decades.

Disadvantages: Too heavy for an elderly user, particularly on the stairs.

This vaccum has the advantage of a child's size version available at toysRus. Why is this an advantage? Because toddler can play with his whilst you get the job done properly!!

This model is used by many professionals which I guess is a good sign. The brush head is wider than many cheaper models so the job gets done quicker, the bag is a good size so you're not changing it every other day, and the hose and lead are long enough to get to the top of my U'shaped (?) staircase without unplugging from the hallway (anything for an easier life). It is heavy though, particularly when toddler jumps on for a ride, but Henry's become an honorary family member and we've had him for at least TEN years without a break down (oh... I lie, there was that one time three years ago after I'd knocked the tiles off the ensuite and decided to hoover the rubble rather than sweep it but Henry trudged through it, switched himself off in a huff for five minutes but came back on again smiling as usual and has continued working faithfully ever since).

He's been a good buy.

Summary: An investment buy. Henry will outlive other models.
