Advantages: Everthing; quiet, powerful, glides around with ease, long hose, large bag, ect....
Disadvantages: NONE WHATSOEVER!
Last Friday I was having one of those days!
We had just put up a new garden fence for our 200ft garden and it was now my job to get this side of the fence cleared of all the last few years of built up leaves and blackberry vines, ivy ect........................
So after a long afternoon getting scratched to bits and coming in and out of the house for cold drinks, I noticed that I had brought in lots of dead conifer bits all over my carpets. So before hubby gets in I thought I'd better get this cleared up so he could admire my effort in the garden without being distracted by the forest that had built up in the dining room and kitchen!!
On went the hoover and before you know it it's bellowing out smoke and stinking the house out with it's burning smell!!
Well enough is enough so what do I do next, of course I look up hoovers on Dooyoo. Now hubby has been on about getting a Henry for years and years as I seem to get through more hoovers than Curry's, but there is something about having a Henry in my home that I can't explain, but he wouldn't fit in here! ( I know it sounds mad!!).
So after looking through all the reviews I came across one by "Xlemloux" which I have to thank very much for, as this changed my mind as I could now go and buy Henry's wife Hetty.
I was so excited I couldn't wait to go and get her. I hunted around online and ended up going to B & Q as I had found a voucher for 15% off
all items instore. They were also the cheapest with her being only £84 in the first place so with discount I got her for £71.40 what a bargain!!!!
As the picture above show's she is pink on the bottom with huge big eyes
and lashes with a lovely big smile she always looks happy.She has a black hat with her name on the top with a green flower next to her name.She is really easy to put together, the tubes are made of stainless steel with a very long plastic hose.
The cord to plug- in is 10 metres long which is great as you can carry on hooving throughout the house without having to keep changing electric sockets all the time. This hoover has dust bags that are different from any that I have used in the past as they are not made from paper, but from some kind of fabric and can hold up to 9 litres of dirt which is quite a lot.
Now was the time to switch on, I don't no why but I was expecting it to be really loud. I was amazed as it was so quiet ( the quietest I've ever had!!). When pressing the green button on, you hear her slowly start up
and get to the power thats needed rather than straight on. There is a turbo button as well that is red and this will get her really going. I don't think you will need to use this unless you have pets that are moulting alot. Now I'm down to just the one cat I don't think I will be using this often, as the normal suction is enough to pick everything up that I need.
I have now rediscovered the joy of hoovering as it is just a pleasure to use my Hetty as often as possible. She glides behind me with such ease and looks like she is enjoying it too!!!
I don't think I would now go back to an upright hoover ever again, as I have been using them for about 10 years now and had quite forgotten how cumbersome they are when it comes to small corners and under the dining room table. Also we suffer from millions of Daddy Long Legs which seem to like my bathrooms in particular for breeding their little ones and I have to say I do apologize first but I am a hoover upperer of these little creatures. Don't get me wrong I am an animal and spider lover really but after being in bed once with the flu and couldn't sleep at night lying there on my back I was suddenly being attacked by Daddy long legs parachuting down on me. I didn't know that they did that so they are not welcome in my house anymore!!
So I have had my Hetty for nearly a week now and I still love using her, she comes with a selection of 5 different tools and has 5 bags also which is handy. Unlike the other Dooyoo' er I'm a bit gutted as I didn't get a little pink bag with Hetty on the front, B&Q had some on sale for £5.99 which I thought was a bit steep so I shall send Numatic an email seeing if I can get one directly from them.
These are Hetty's specifications:
~~~Motor Power Hi200/Lo600 W W ~~~
~~~Cleaning Range 26.8m ~~~
~~~Weight 6.6kg ~~~
~~~Power 230V AC 50/60Hz~~~
~~~Airflow 45L/sec~~~
~~~Suction Hi2600/Lo1750 mm mm~~~
~~~Size 340x340x370mm~~~
She also has;
And Hetty is short for Henrietta just incase you didn't know!!
So now I am happy and hubby's happy she might not be a Henry but she certainly has got Girl Power and is better looking!!
