I bought Hetty back in January (2009) because my previous vacuum cleaner made so much noise when I switched it on that even my neighbours could hear when I was cleaning.

I admit I purchased Hetty because the vacuum looked cute, it was pink and because I remember my mum had Henry which did a good job at cleaning but my main reason was the cuteness!

It comes with an accessory kit which includes different heads for the cleaner and an instruction manual.

Functions
It has a button on it which allows you to increase the power for those stubborn pieces of dirt on the floor but to be totally honest the suction change still does not do a good job at picking things up off my carpeted floor at any power setting.
It works well in the places that I have laminated flooring where the adjustable floor head comes into use as I am able to change it by pressing down on the head so I don't get unwanted scratches on the wood. But on my carpet I don't think it does the best job and could be better.

Noise
It does not make much noise even at the higher level it is relatively low.

Extra Bonuses!
The good thing about it is it uses disposable dust bags and comes with an extra 4 included in the pack that you are given along with Hetty. It has a manual cord rewind which helps stop the cord from tangling up and allows ease of packing it away. The cord is 10m(for the Hetty I have anyway, not sure about some of the others!) which is good because it makes it easy to vacuum more places without taking out the plug and looking for a new socket to put it in! Quite light in weight and is a good size so it can be stored in the smallest of cupboards.

Overview
Over all I think it is a good product worth investing in if you have laminated flooring but in my personal opinion for carpets I don't think it does the best job and perhaps it would be better to go for a different vacuum as to which one I don't know I think that's a risk you will have to take!
