Kirby GSix Vacuum: ... the home help had fallen down the stairs trying to use the new hoover. The sales rep said it would be easier to use than the old one as the new one had some sort of self-propulsion; six months down the line they have only used it four times, it is too heavy for my mother to use, she is nearly 80 and they feel ripped off. 	Henry Vacuum Cleaner HVR200 p ... is not another Dyson-bashing review! I ve never owned a Dyson. I can only compare the Henry to cheaper vacs I ve owned. The first thing you notice about the Henry is the build quality. You can see why it is a firm favorite with commercial cleaning firms. The plastic pipe is strong crimped ABS plastic, not poly plastic stretched over wire which is common in vacs and commonly splits. The rigid pipes are stainless steel which you can step on with no fear of denting and can push on as hard as you like – no way it will crack or break. The body of the machine is thick, tough plastic that will take more than a few knocks. Stories abound of owners abusing them for 10 years ... 	Vorwerk System Kobold 135 ... VK135 is my second Vorwerk cleaner. The VK121 lasted 20 years and I still use it to clean the cars. The build quality is excellent so I guess the high price is justified as over 20 years it is no more expensive than cheaper models that need replacing more often. It s quiet, light, maneuverable and because of the shallow head, will go under low units with ease. It s everything a Dyson isn t! The suction is great (we have 3 dogs!). In addition the Dry cleaning system works well, and is very easy to use and ideal when you have animals. My only criticism is that the consumables are far too expensive.... 	Numatic George ... rinse if covered in hair. Take the solution tank out, and if empty turn upside down and leave to dry. If solution left, pour into a bottle, mark it clearly and store ready for next time, or just leave in the solution wank if its not going to get nocked over. Pour contents of recovery bucket down sink/drain/onto garden, and rinse out. If you dont plan on vaccuming with george then leave to dry, otherwise dry with a towel. Then its ready for dry re-assemble. Take washing tools apart, rinse if needed and leave to dry before storing, otherwise the water goes stangant. I have had really good results with it.
