I have owned one of these hovers now for about two years. It was a replacement for another Panasonic hover that I owned previously. The hover is supposed to have a special feature that allows it to lie flat in a cupboard by the handle rotating downwards. It also has a long hose as well as a bagless cyclone action suction system.
In the time I have had this cleaner I have had many problems. It cleaned well initially but after several weeks it started to make lots of noise despite it not being blocked. It looses suction quite often, especially when using the main brushes when hoovering in the traditional way. It frequently blocks and is a real pain to unblock as it does no dismantle easily or in a logical fashion. The extension on the hose is useful but does not make up for all of the negative points that are associated with it.
Just like the previous reviewer i bought this vacuum cleaner as it was a Panasonic (which I thought was great quality) and it was lightweight with a moveable handle for extra storage capability in our flat.
We unpacked it, plugged in and away we went to clean a weeks worth of grime as the other hoover had suddenly lost all suction!
First thing we notice is how well it picks up everything off the carpet and rugs. The suction was excellent and we thought we are onto a good thing here!
The hose and all the attachments were good too (hose nice and long, don't need to move the vacuum around while cleaning the soft furnishing as much).
HOWEVER, again just like the previous reviewer after less than 10 mins of vacuuming, the motor cut-out! Took a look at the front of the machine and the heat coming from the vacuum was something else!
We checked for obstructions as the manual suggested took the thing apart in under 30 minutes following all the instructions and then put it back together again and let it cool down for 30 mins after which it was fine.
But then it did it again the motor cut out! This has happened everyweek, with me wasting my time looking for that illusionary obstruction, of which we never leave huge objects to be just vacuumed up, so it can't be this problem.
Again just like the previous reviewer after trialling this for 5 weeks, this is going straight back to Comet for a refund, perhaps they got a dodgy batch.
Not impressed and won't be buying from Panasonic again, shame!
Bought this as it was a Panasonic (which I consider great quality) and it was lightweight.
Unpacked it, plugged in and away I went.
First thing I notice is how well it picks up. The suction was great and left nowt on the carpet. I was very impressed.
The hose and all the attachments were ok too (hose nice and long, reached to top of stairs fine).
HOWEVER, after less than 10 mins of vacuuming, the motor cut-out! Took a look at the front of the machine and the heat coming off it was unreal! The bin felt really hot!
Let it cook down for 30 mins and it was fine. But then one of the rear wheels fell off and the motor cut out again!
So straight back to Comet it went for a refund.
