This is the time of year that I really appreciate our Polti Vaporetto steam cleaner, we have lots of visitors over the Christmas period and do not want to be spending all our time cleaning but our Polti cuts cleaning time in half. I believe Polti are an Italian company and we bought the Polti Vaporetto Eco Pro 3000, it cost around £300 but it has been money well spent. Our Polti came complete with two different size attachments for cleaning windows, a long attachment for behind radiators or car engines, large brush attachment, small brush attachment, concentrator nozzle, small circular concentrator brush and cloths. The Polti Vaporetto Eco Pro 3000 holds two and a half litres of tap water and it takes about ten minutes for the water to reach the correct temperature to convert to steam, when the tank is full you have around two hours of cleaning time. Using the concentrator nozzle the steam from the Polti cuts through ice in the freezer allowing us to totally defrost our freezer in about thirty minutes. After cleaning windows with the Polti you are left with no streaks because you are not using any window cleaning solution, only pure dry steam. Bathroom fittings and kitchen surfaces and appliances prove no problem for the Polti which cuts through the most stubborn stains with steam and sanitises at the same time leaving everything sparkling. I steam clean most of my clothing that need to be dry cleaned with my Polti, it freshens jackets and trousers and removes any odours picked up while I’ve been out. We clean our chairs, sofas, soft furnishing, curtains, carpets and mattresses regularly with the polti, the steam kills any dust mites that might be around and because it is dry steam everything is dry within about one hour. Basically the Polti Vapretto Eco Pro 3000 cleans and sanitises just about everything in the home, garden, garage and car using nothing more than tap water, the initial o utlay for the Polti may seem a lot but over a couple of years it pays for itself in money saved on cleaning solutions, dry cleaner bills and employing companies to clean carpets and lounge furniture. The only complaint I have about the Polti is when using it you permanently have to hold the button in on the handle, I find, because I have arthritis in the hands, after about thirty minutes my hand starts to ache and I have to switch the Polti off for a little while, so although a full tank of water gives you about two hours of cleaning time I never use it for longer than about thirty minutes at a time and therefore I probably would have been better buying a Polti with a smaller water tank, which would have been cost less, however I do use the Polti about five days a week and would not want to be without it.

I have had my Polti Vaporetto steam cleaner for two years now and I really don’t know why I waited so long to buy one. My husband had been gong on about how good he thought they were for quiet a while but I thought they seemed rather expensive at over £300 but I eventually gave in and we bought the Polti Vaporetto Eco Pro 3000. Our Polti Vaporetto steam cleaner holds two and a half litres of water and takes about ten minutes to heat up ready for use, once the tank is full and you get started cleaning the water in the tank lasts about two hours. The Polti has an attachment for cleaning windows and because all we are using on the windows is dry steam we are left with sparkling windows with no streaks. It cuts through even the most burnt on grease in the kitchen leaving the work surface and units squeaky clean and my oven like new. The bathroom fittings sparkle and the grout between the tiles looks as if it has just been done. We use our Polti to clean all the carpets, three-piece suite and mattresses on a regular basis, everything is dry within an hour and the dry steam kills all the dust mites. There is an attachment to clean behind radiators that can also be used for cleaning car engines. My husband cleans the inside of our cars regularly with the Polti and they look as if they have been professionally cleaned. You can buy an attachment for removing wallpaper but we have just stripped the wallpaper off our sitting room using one of the attachments included with no effort at all and are now ready to redecorate in less than half the usual time it takes us. We use our Polti to steam clean clothes that have to be dry-cleaned and we have always been pleased with the result. To be honest the Polti Vaporetto steam cleaner cleans just about everything and anything in and around the house. The initial outlay for our Polti was around £330 and this included a concentrator nozzle, window squeegee, large and small brush and radiator attachment but during the last two years we have saved in excess of £200 on detergents, probably at least £200 on having our carpets and three-piece suite professionally cleaned and a fair bit of money on dry cleaning bills. We now believe our Polti has paid for itself and we are now actually in debt to it. We have only one complaint about our Polti Vaporetto steam cleaning and that is when using the Polti you have to hold the button in on the handle at all times, if you have arthritis or any other problems with gripping things this can make your hand ache. We understand this is for safety reasons, if there was a locking device on the handle you could accidentally leave the steam on and although the steam is cool at about six inches away from the attachment it is over one hundred degrees at the point of exit and therefore this could be dangerous. On the whole we have found the Polti Vaporetto does any job with ease, it cleans and sanitises, saves money on household detergents and is ecologically friendly because you are using pure dry steam and not adding any pollutants to the atmosphere or earth. There is no chemical odour after using the Polti, just a really fresh smell. It is money well spent and a real investment.
