This is the time of year that I really appreciate our Polti Vaporetto steam cleaner, we have lots of visitors over the Christmas period and do not want to be spending all our time cleaning but our Polti cuts cleaning time in half.

I believe Polti are an Italian company and we bought the Polti Vaporetto Eco Pro 3000, it cost around £300 but it has been money well spent. Our Polti came complete with two different size attachments for cleaning windows, a long attachment for behind radiators or car engines, large brush attachment, small brush attachment, concentrator nozzle, small circular concentrator brush and cloths.

The Polti Vaporetto Eco Pro 3000 holds two and a half litres of tap water and it takes about ten minutes for the water to reach the correct temperature to convert to steam, when the tank is full you have around two hours of cleaning time.

Using the concentrator nozzle the steam from the Polti cuts through ice in the freezer allowing us to totally defrost our freezer in about thirty minutes.

After cleaning windows with the Polti you are left with no streaks because you are not using any window cleaning solution, only pure dry steam.

Bathroom fittings and kitchen surfaces and appliances prove no problem for the Polti which cuts through the most stubborn stains with steam and sanitises at the same time leaving everything sparkling.

I steam clean most of my clothing that need to be dry cleaned with my Polti, it freshens jackets and trousers and removes any odours picked up while I’ve been out.

We clean our chairs, sofas, soft furnishing, curtains, carpets and mattresses regularly with the polti, the steam kills any dust mites that might be around and because it is dry steam everything is dry within about one hour.

Basically the Polti Vapretto Eco Pro 3000 cleans and sanitises just about everything in the home, garden, garage and car using nothing more than tap water, the initial o
utlay for the Polti may seem a lot but over a couple of years it pays for itself in money saved on cleaning solutions, dry cleaner bills and employing companies to clean carpets and lounge furniture.

The only complaint I have about the Polti is when using it you permanently have to hold the button in on the handle, I find, because I have arthritis in the hands, after about thirty minutes my hand starts to ache and I have to switch the Polti off for a little while, so although a full tank of water gives you about two hours of cleaning time I never use it for longer than about thirty minutes at a time and therefore I probably would have been better buying a Polti with a smaller water tank, which would have been cost less, however I do use the Polti about five days a week and would not want to be without it.
