I had a Hitachi bagless for 15 years, it was replaced with this Sanyo which burnt out after 2 years & 5 months, it does not do what it say's on the tin - do not buy this it is crap.
The recoil cord wears out quick - the pipes come apart during use - the rotation of the pipe is awkward.
Showed no signs of wearing out, just stopped & smelt of burning inside.
Funny how these things last just past the warranty period !
