Swan SU3016 cyclonic upright cleaner.
I bought this vacuum cleaner from my mothers catalogue, It was In the sale for £49 The listed price for It was £69
I like getting a bargain at the best of times and as there was £20 off this cleaner I couldn't resist.
My old vacuum just stopped working so I had a browse through the catalogue to see what caught my eye.
We have got two dogs and so a bagless cleaner with filters that can be cleaned is the way to go, hairs clogg it all up, I think this Is what happened to my last one.
I have to be honest here, I like the colour too. The one I got Is purple and pink and Is very attractive, I know Its only a vacuum cleaner but colour Is Important to me.
The other colours are red and blue.
When It arrived I unpacked it and the top was sort of folded over, I lifted it up and it clicked into place easily.
Now I know you are supposed to read the booklet before you actually start cleaning the sitting room, I am far too impatient to do this and so I plugged It In and off I went, wow Its a great cleaner, I have got wood floors right through but Ive got a rug In the sitting room so I went over that and what a difference It picked up all the dogs hairs easily and I could see them going Into the bagless bin bit of the cleaner, I find this good as I can see when Its getting full.
When the rug was done and very clean I then took out the hose part of the cleaner and went around the wood floor with this doing skirting board tops as I went. I continued as It was so easy through the whole flat and was finished In no time.
Other cleaners I have had have given out a small amount of dust as I was cleaning up but I haven't noticed that with the swan vacuum.
It has tools attached to the back of It and they are easily unattached when needed.
The hose part of the cleaner has Its own handle this Is very handy and makes It easy to use on the sofa`s or high areas.
There Is a dial which is for the thickness of the carpet being cleaned It goes from 1 - 5 and then there Is a tools position.
The handle release Is easy to use you just need to put a small amount of pressure on It to get It to the position you want.
The cord Is wrapped between two holders and one of them has a quick release handle to release the cord easily.
Dusting brush- this is to use on furniture.
Crevice tool- this is ideal for the tops of skirting boards or tight corners.
Upholstery tool- this is great for getting pet hair off your sofa.
There is a cleaning air driven turbo brush, this gives the ultimate in cleaning to reach stubborn areas.
There is a clean filter indicator however I have always found It better to clean the filter regularly and this will keep the cleaner at Its best performance wise.
There are filters and dust cups to be cleaned regular and they are all easy to remove and replace and are not complicated at all.(if i can do it anyone can.)
The instruction manual Is good and Informative giving diagrams to ensure you know what you are doing. At the back of the manual there Is a problem solving piece this gives you a list of problems and how to solve them ,there is a list of spare parts with item numbers If you ever need them, as well as helpline numbers where you can also order replacement parts.
On the whole this cleaner Is easy to use and empty and cleans to a very high standard,
I would recommend It and It Is defiantly the best upright vacuum cleaner I have had.
There Is also an extended service plan with the bookwork that you can buy If you want to and It gives you a telephone number to ring to start that up.
The product itself has a manufacturers two year guarantee.
If there was a negative side to It Id say It was slightly on the heavier side than my previous vac and maybe a bit noisier however I think the pro`s outweigh the cons
Last thing.. Its purple and pink, need I say more?
