Dyson DC15 ... have always purchased the cheapest hoover available thinking they all done the same job so why pay more? This all changed when we got our dog, he has got very long dark hair and sheds it all over the house which didn t look good all over my cream carpets! The old hoover was fine up until then, so I decided to get a new one which was from argos and said great for pets which cost around £80 which I thought was very expensive at the time so bought it regardless. This hoover still didn t pick up the hairs. Dyson Ball DC25 ... have owned my dyson DC25 for about 3 months now and i love it. we choose to replace our cheap shops own brand vacuum with a dyson because we have a house cat that is permanantly shedding fur so we needed something with stronger suction to tease the hair out of the carpet. The DC25 is perfect it has great suction. It can be used on hard floor and carpet as it has a spinning roller that can be turned off (I would also recommend turning this off for small mats). The dust collection is easy to empty. The ball concept takes a little getting used to you have to remember to click down the leg on the back for it to stand up (which was a little stiff at first but soon loosen... Dyson Ball DC25 ... was quite happy with my trusty old DC08 for my regular (or maybe not as regular as they should be) hoovering sessions, until I won the latest DC25 in a competition. I hurried home with my new prize and unpacked it instantly. The instructions of how to assemble (3 pieces) were very easy to follow and I quickly had the vacuum in one piece ready to switch on. It comes with 2 attachments, one for the stairs and one for curtains (I think!), which fit neatly into the back of the unit so you don t have to spend ages hunting them down when you need them.
