Dyson DC24 The Ball ... Ball by Dyson is a fantastic vacuum cleaner. Its suction is brilliant and vacs all sorts of different surfaces. I ve used it on carpet, tile and wood floors. Its easy to empty and really easy to adjust it to use the hose. The only thing I would say about this vac is that it moves a little too easy (if that makes sense), when you turn a corner with it, it can feel like its over turning. Also its quite heavy, so I found it quite hard once I got to the top of the steps as its just out of reach. Elderley people would perhaps struggle a little with this vac. Hoover DM5530 Dust Manager ... is quite possibly the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever come across. I made this purchase a year ago, without doing my usual amount of research. What a mistake. Initially, the vacuum is impressive, it cleans well, to the edges and the turbo brush worked brilliantly on the stairs. However, things started to go wrong quickly. If you re cleaning the whole house, you ll need to empty the dust bin at least twice a day - its capacity is very small. The fliters clog very easily, so you loose suction quickly, and it is not a speedy task to clean them. Sebo X4 Extra ... is a truly quality vacuum cleaner. Set up took five minutes, and the instructions to do this were clear and simple. The vacuum is extremely well made - it is solid and stable. The cord is nice and long for getting around a considerable floor space, and the Extra comes with an extra length of hose that can be easily attached for use on stairs. The accessory tube is really good, it takes one click out of the machine and you re away, so all those hard to reach places are very easy to deal with.
