Advantages: Easy to use, parts readily available if needed
Disadvantages: Doesn't cope well with lots of hair!
This Vax was abosolutely brilliant for our house before we had a baby and got a dog!
The Vax itself was very easy to put together and to use, and easy to move around and light enough to carry up the stairs (unless full of water!). I found it very handy to hoover the stairs with, as the pipe does stretch a fair way.
It was very easy to change the bag, and filters, and they are also cheap enough to replace.
When in shampooing mode, it was very easy to set up, the maximum fill level is marked on the water holder. I loved the fact that the dirty water is kept seperate from the clean water, and you could also hear when the clean water tank was empty.
It was very easy to clean afterwards, and dried reasonably quickly.
The tools were really easy to attach and detach, and suited a wide range of jobs.
I was so sad to have to upgrade my hoover because I had this one a fair while! Luckily my mother in law wanted it, and is still using it!
Summary: Brilliant hoover, I miss mine!

- 17/10/08 Good overview here. Would be good to know other details such as:
Noise levels
Use of smaller cleaning tools / if any were available with this?
Cost price at the time.
I know what you mean about the suction - suction only cleaners can only do so much. If you had gone online you could have sourced a turbo brush for use which is great for cleaning up threads and pet hair. |
