Advantages: suction is amazing and the attachments are great

Disadvantages: is really heavy compared to other makes

after the 2nd dyson packed in we decided that we would give another company a try. went and looked at the vax mach 6 and just bought it.

got it home and tried it out and wow what a machine, i thought dyson had good suction, but the vax had even more, you could see it lifting the carpet up as you went over and the dyson only did that for the first month we had it, vax is now 6 months old and still has the suction from day one.

comes with all the normal attahments and also 2nd flexi pipe to extend the hose out.

did have one great attachment that is really good if you have cloth sofa, attahment is just like brush on hoover but in smaller form and when attached to the hose the suction makes the brush spin round, also really good on the stairs.

hoover has a swicth that can raise it up for different thickness's of carpet and i find the hoover is really good for picking up dog hair.

would defo recommend this hoover to anyone that is sick of the dyson and the many times that something fails on them.

i will say that the vax is a real heavy hoover for most people and can be hard work to lift up and down stairs, where as a dyson feels alot lighter.

a little update as asked....
when i bought this hoover 6 months ago it cost me £150, but machine is down under £100 now.

noise levels aint much louder than most hoovers, after getting the machine onto the scales and came up as 11.0kg. power cord for the hoover is very long and can get you from one room to another before you have to unplug it.

vax is worth ever penny i had paid for it, it is now 6 months and i have had nothing gone wrong with it and no suction loss as to date.

Summary: really great hoover for the money and wont let you down
