My VAX Power 9 was delivered today. I after quickly assembling it I was up and running. The first things I notice was the weight of the suction house being robust, and the length the electric cable. Far longer than any other cleaner I have had. It had tremendous reach meaning far less unplugging and replugging half way through cleaning.
The suction is amazing. I couldn't believe the amount of cat hair this machine lifted from the carpet. There is a good selection of tools with this machine, far more than the normal upholstery brush and nozzle. There is a suction powered hand beater brush, curtain / upholstery wand, and even a flexible nozzle for getting right behind radiators.
The vacuum cleaner itself is large and heavy and well built. It coped well with carpets, quarry tile floors and laminate flooring. One big benefit I particularly noticed on the hard flooring was that previous vacuum cleaners tended to blow hair and dust away from the cleaner owing to ill conceived venting on the machine. The Vax Power 9 actually drew hair and dust towards it. Fantastic !
