Beware Vax VEU-02! (Vax VEU-02)

The worst-designed vacuum cleaner ever!.
It's cumbersome to use, doesn't get in corners, is awkward to use on the stairs and is very noisy.
The mains lead is too short to do the whole downstairs (first time we've ever had this problem). When you open the flap on the dust container to empty it, most of the dirt is still wrapped around the filters at the top, so you have to totally dismantle the container and remove the filters everytime.
After we'd struggled for a few months with it, the head part disintegrated. We sent it back for repair but wished we hadn't bothered. It came back technically working but still as bad as ever.
My daughter got one at the same time as we did, but ended up throwing hers on the council tip - we might do the same.
I asked their customer service department if I could trade it in for a different model but they weren't interested (they probably don't want it back).
We had a Vax cleaner a long time ago and it was wonderful but this one must have been designed by someone who has never done any housework.
Sorry if this seems over-negative but I really have tried to give an honest view . I'm mystified by the other review on this cleaner - it can't be for real, maybe she has shares in Vax.
Update: Sorry, I should have mentioned the price - £69.99 at Argos.
Also, the accessories are okay but they are fastened to the cleaner, along with the tubes, and are tedious to connect up each time you need them.
I have now solved my problem by giving the Vax to a friend, to use in her caravan. I still feel guilty about it, since she was a good friend.
I have bought an Electrolux Cyclone instead, which is smaller, lighter, easier to use, and was £20 cheaper than the Vax.

Summary: We all make mistakes - I bought this cleaner.
