I have owned this vacuum for 3 months now after my last Vax died after 6 years. I was really happy with the lifespan of the last one, and was confident in buying another vax. However- I chose this particular design because it also looked very similar to Dyson models.

It's upright and the handle (telscopic) is comfortable and ergonomic- however it does feel unequal weight wise when pushing it around, but this makes sense when using the stretch hose to clean the stairs- the machine is well weighted down and doesn't tip over when pulling on the hose.

Another good design feature is that the cord retracts within the machine making storage easy, and cleaning easier as there are no lose wires in the way. The tools all fit on well and secure- especially the turbo tool which is excellent at picking up pet hair. You can be quite rough with the tools and they on't come off the nozzle which is excellent when removing stubborn dust, hair and dirt. All these extra tools fit on the machine itself making it easy to store all together.

I haven't used the hard floor tool, I find the nozzle works fine on all surfaces. I dont see the point of the turn the brush bar off and on function is either as it makes no difference to the hoover picking up dirt and dust. And I dont use the adjustable brush bar often either which allows you to hoover different surfaces. I keep it on short pile and it picks up on all surfaces fine.

The hoover is supposed to offer edge to edge cleaning, which it does not in terms of the head. It does though if you use the nozzle, so I think this was a misleading claim. The power lead is very long- over 8 meteres which makes a big difference to covering more area.

As its bagless and the filters are washable, the cost of upkeep is minimal which is a big bonus. Overall I feel its been excellent value for money, and you get a lot of features comparesd to other machines.
