It features an alien who lands in the desert, hijacks a woman, and alters her genetic make-up such that she begins to grow at an alarming rate. Ok, so this film was made in the 50's, so don't expect any Hollywood special effects. You never actually get to see the 50ft woman, but you get to see her hand - a lot - being swung in from the left of the screen (I assume they only made a left hand) on two bits of wire. It reminded me of the big hands that Kenny Everett used to use actually. Anyway, despite it's age, it's a pretty good fun Sunday afternoon on BBC2 kind of film, so keep an eye on those listings and watch out for it... ...
