The dividing line between horror and comedy is a rather narrow one, yet combining the two elements sucessfully is rarely acheived with any really good result. An American Werewolf in London is one such movie which acheived this, The Living Dead series is another, arguably some of Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson's earlier work managed the same, but most falls way short of acheiving the blend even slightly well. Attack of the Giant Leeches manages to raise more than a few giggles though throughout, from its title credits through to its closing sequences, not because it was ever intended as a comedy, but because it is quite so bad.
