Bear In The Big Blue House is the first programme which really grabbed my daughter's attention. It is made by Jim Henson, the man who brought us The Muppets. You can find it every weekday morning on Channel 5 at 8am, or throughout the day, everyday on Playhouse Disney (616 on Sky Digital). Yes, you guessed it, there is a bear, and right again, he lives in a Big Blue House!!! Bear in the big blue house, a program i had never heard of until a neighbours son ranted and ranted that he wanted it on! Now my son is pretty much the same, including on the weekends when it isn't on! My son is 2 years old and sits absolutely captivated for 20 minutes every weekday morning from 8am until 8.20. Why?? Bear in the Big Blue House is a Jim Henson's creation. For those who don't know who Jim Henson's is he's the one who invented the Muppets.(unfortunately he died a few years ago but the company still excists) I didn't know what Bear (for short) was untill my daugther of four was very up set one morning because she had just missed it. So I thought if she's up set it must be good so I sat down with her the next time it was on to see what it's like.
