Conquest of Space (DVD)

This 1955 movie directed by Byron Haskin is quite strange. It follows an attempt at an expedition to Mars, but it is not particularly realistic! No surprise there, I guess, as George Pal himself was behind the movie. The stars, Walter Brooke, Eric Fleming and Mickey Shaughnessy try their best with the flimsy material, and the result is certainly fun, if you can get past the fact that it could never happen like this!
