That was what sold it to me, back in ?95; we all remember so well the feelings of being a teenager just heading out on life's great journey (I suppose some of you didn't, not being teenagers back then...). I love Gene Hackman, he is one of the finest actors ever. Films such as 'The French Connection' & Missisipi Burning' made him mega bucks and that is no surprise as the man gave outstanding performances in both. In Crimson Tide, Hackman plays Captain Ramsey, a die hard war freak sent to the deep waters in his US Nuclear Submarine caught in a terrible crisis. They head over to Russia, where evil dictators are planning to start another World War. The plot thickens when they receive an unfinshed message to launch their nuclear missles against the enemy.
