If you have ever seen the film escape from new york, then you should know what this film is all about. The director of New yourk, thought that he should re do the film, so he gacve it a bit of a new story, and a new place and made a new film. I am a great fan of the John Carpenter classic, Escape from New York. This film introduced us to the antihero, Snake Plissken, played by Kurt Russell. In the original film, he is forced to go into the top security prison, New York and rescue the President of the United States (Donald Pleasance). This film, made 15 years on is pretty much more of the same tried and tested formula. This time Snake is forced to go and rescue the President's Daughter from LA - which in 2013 is supposed to be the deportation capital for all of the countrie's unnaturals and unwanted. Featuring the same great Snake Pliskin, this film is the follow up to the great 80's film Escape From New York. Set in 1998, the plot hasn't changed much since the old one but when the old one was so excellent who really cares? This could be considered almost a remake, but it does carry on from the first so it is strictly a seequel. Staring Kurt Russel as Pliskin, the film builds on the original with great special effects and even more one liners. The plot goes like this........
