Unlike a lot of people my age I was never really into Garfield as a child. I didn't really watch the cartoons and didn't read the comics or anything. My boyfriend however absolutely loved him and so he was ecstatic when the cartoon came to life in the form of a 76 minute film!! I bought the DVD for him for Christmas a few years ago when it first hit the shelves (because I knew he wouldn't shut up about it until he had it!) I watched it with him and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve never been a lover of cats until recently. Through unforeseen circumstances we now have a cat in our household. First I was afraid, I was petrified.
