I love Doris Day movies and this has to be one of her finest works ever. I was never much of a Doris Day fan myself until my wife turned me on to her. Out of all of her works, this is the funniest and zaniest one. The Plot: In this film, Doris plays a widow who works for her father’s glass-bottomed tour boat business. In order to please the tourists who take trips in her father’s boat, Doris dresses up as a mermaid (!!!) and swims by the boat. However, when she is swimming Rod Taylor (a fisherman) catches her tail and reels it in (although she is not in the tail).
