HIgh School High (DVD)

Saturday Night Live regular, Jon Lovitz stars as Richard Clark in this juvenile comedy which will either having you rolling on the floor, or groaning at the attempts to raise cheap laughs. It all depends what floats your boat. In my eyes, it seems to be a remake of the successful “Dangerous Minds”, starring Michelle Pfeiffer, only it does not take the subject as seriously. Written and produced by David Zucker, who is renowned for obvious humour in films such as “Airplane” and “The Naked Gun”, however he tries something new with this film, and that is that he actually tries to write a plot into the mayhem.
