Indiana Jones has really become a modern day hero. With his exploits in 'Raiders of the lost Ark' and 'Temple of Doom' he was catipulted into the limelight as an almost modern day Sir Lancelot. The combination of comedy and action stimulate a large following throughout the world. Many were dissapointed with the 'Temple of Doom' and therefore many were unsure whether the third (and supposedly final) installment of the Indiana Jones series would live up to expecatation. <Brief synopsis> In 1938, with Adolph Hitler still intent on gaining powerful artifacts for his war effort, his henchmen are searching the world. ...

Whoever decided to cast Sean Connery as Indiana Jones' father deserves a medal. A knighthood. A small island in the Bahamas. They are surely one of the best onscreen partnerships since Little & Large (or do I mean somebody else? Anyway...). They seem at ease with each other when they are together, and both actors have enough screen presence to carry the film when alone. The plot is good, and keeps the attention, and it features Nazi-bashing, which is always a favourite. At turns humourous, exciting, and touching, this is a great film. I also hear that there's a new Indy film planned...superbo!!! ...

By the time the third film in Stephen Spielberg's Indiana Jones trilogy came around, the formula was starting to wear just that little bit thin. So thin in fact that the solution was to add a new very special ingredient into the mix. The excellent Harrison Ford was still there of course as the all action hero, but now he had the talents of a father figure to give him succour as Dr Henry Jones made his bow in the mountainous form of the ultimate James Bond, the splendid Sean Connery. Connery's deep accent and his continual harassment of Junior brings a much lighter and more comical feel to proceedings and for the most part Spielberg plays this one ...
