I'm sure everyone has a film they watched as a kid, and still love to watch it avidly now. Well this film is mine. I've never been a fan of the 'mundane' films like Wizard Of Oz, I preferred even from an early age, films that maybe not everyone had seen. The Plot Jack Frost is a up and coming musician, which means he doesn't get to spend all the time he wants with his wife and kid. His kid Charlie adores the ground he walks on, but after Jack promises Charlie, that they'll go up to the cabin for Christmas, his faith in his father is shot down, when Jack's band gets a record contract, but they need to be at this place on Christmas eve. Ok I admit it, when house-sitting for friends a while back and stumbling across a VHS tape with the words Jack Frost scrawled across it I immediately thought that it might be the horror movie of the same name and slapped it in the video player expecting a little visceral entertainment. It didn't take long to realise I was mistaken when Warner Brother's 1998 (not '88 as Dooyoo will tell you!) family yawnathon popped into view instead of a 1997's horror comedy featuring a psychotic snowman with a razorbade smile! Still, sometimes the initially most unappealing movies can surprise you and as I hadn?t endured it yet I thought I?d give Jack Frost a try anyway. ...

Ah, Sunday evenings. What would we do without them? Probably just go to bed on Sunday afternoons.
