Because of this film's spectacular Thai locations, places where it was shot are now known as 'James Bond Island'. A strange legacy for such a hopelessly clumsy movie, with Moore dispatched to rub out the improbably-named Scaramanga, a hugely dangerous assassin played by Christopher Lee. Much pointless comedy surrounds the fact that Scaramanga has three nipples, but the casting of Lee is only the beginning of the film's problems. Always a charismatic villain, Lee's extraordinary face and rich voice make him infinitely more appealling than Moore, with his very dated looks and inexpressive features.
