The Santa Clause 2 (DVD) ... Mitchell ... / DVD released 02 October, 2006 at Walt Disney Home Video / Features of the DVD: PAL / Considering how lame this sequel could have been, The Santa Clause 2 makes for a pleasant seasonal diversion. It's got the familiar smell of Disney marketeering, and more than a few parents will object to this further embellishment of the St Nick legend, but Tim Allen's amiable presence provides ample compensation. As a divorced dad who inherited the jolly man's job in The Santa Clause, Allen now faces another Yuletide challenge. According to the "Missus Clause" in his North Pole contract, he can't continue to be the real Santa until he gets married. As luck and five credited screenwriters would have it, Allen falls for the Scroogey principal (Elizabeth Mitchell) of his son's school, while a phoney, power-hungry duplicate Santa wreaks havoc on the North Pole's overworked elves. It's all as sweet as spiced eggnog, with that warmed-over feel of a mandated sequel, but the Christmas spirit does prevail with the sound of sleigh bells and Allen's rosy-cheeked "Ho, ho, ho!". --Jeff Shannon

... the first movie, this story is all about a problem that santa clause has to solve to remain as santa clause. The clause (good take on his name) is that he must have a wife, to remain santa, this leads to hiliarious scenes, and ultimately he ends up with the woman you all really wanted him to marry (elizabeth mitchell) and you see her in a completely different light as mrs claus. I loved it when they were both in the north pole as mr and mrs claus, very sweet. Its a great film, full of christmas spirit and ...more

This was the sequel to the very popular, the santa clause with tim allen. Having loved the first, I hoped the sequel would be as good, and i have to say i was pleasantly surprised. Like the first movie, this story is all about a problem that santa clause has to solve to remain as santa clause. I am one of those persons that you all love to hate, organised about Christmas, in fact I am so organised that 1/2 my presents for this year are put away in the Christmas Cubpboard. Soon as it hits the shops in September/October, I am on a high, I love anything to do with Christmas and always will do. So when Santa Claus 2 the movie was available to watch on my old NTL, I thought here we go and lets watch it. All I can say is they should have not made this movie, it was disappointing and that was to say the least. A lot of friends bought this for Christmas for their kids and they all seemed to have the same opinion. So read on and tell me what you think. ...

Crowned Review The Santa Clause 2 (DVD): THIS AIN'T NO SANITY CLAUS (1246 words)

With Christmas comes pester power where seasonal movies pitched at the younger audience engender an annual round of "Please take me to see it mummy/daddy." So it was this year when we stumbled across the trailer for Santa Claus 2 whilst watching Harry Potter's latest incarnation. Skilfully crafted there were just enough images to get the kids to salivate and force a promise from their unsuspecting parents to take them, which, of ourse, I duly did (being the nice dad that I am). This particular genre is unique with it almost having a category all too itself. You know all of the elements will be there whilst almost automatically cross-referencing any ...
